Showcase: the slide alternative built from pins
How Showcase works in Pindown: the slide alternative—swipe through quick highlights built from live pins, without exporting decks.
Showcase is Pindown's slide alternative—not PowerPoint or Google Slides, but a horizontal sequence of pins you swipe through. Built for quick, polished overviews when you want presentation motion without rebuilding files every week.
When the story needs more depth—tabs, full pages, live meetings—step up to Pitch. When people need to read end to end, use a Page.
Showcase = highlights in a few slides. Pitch = in-depth narrative decks. Page = document.

What a Showcase is
A Showcase is an ordered playlist of workspace content:
- Individual pins — intro, chart, timeline, Mastra workflow, stat cards—one per slide
- Whole pages — a compiled brief as one slide
- Pinboards — a grid snapshot as one slide
- Shareable link — one URL; viewers swipe, you keep pins live in the workspace
Each slide is still real data. Update the stat card pin and the Showcase slide updates—no re-export.
When to use a Showcase
- Launch highlights — intro → market chart → timeline → agent workflow → KPIs
- Exec readouts — five slides, five pins, five minutes
- Client teasers — polished overview before a deeper Pitch
- Workshop openers — set context before diving into a Pinboard or Page
Showcase vs Pitch vs Page
| Format | Depth | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Showcase | Quick slides, high level | Teasers, launches—the slide alternative |
| Pitch | Tabbed, in-depth | Meetings, fundraising, full narrative |
| Page | Document scroll | Specs, briefs, async reading |

Frequently asked questions
Is Showcase just Google Slides?
No file export required. Slides are pins in sequence—typed, updatable, and shareable from Pindown. Export only when a venue demands a static deck.
Can a slide be a whole Page or Pinboard?
Yes. One slide can show an entire Page or Pinboard when a section needs more than a single pin.
Showcase or Pitch for investors?
Showcase for a short teaser or email link—the slide alternative. Pitch when you need in-depth tabs and live Q&A in the room.
Which pin types work best per slide?
Intro to open, charts for market proof, timeline for momentum, Mastra for live agent workflows, stat-cards or image to close—one strong pin per slide.
