New pin types: process flow, funnel, decisions, OKRs, polls, surveys & ratings

·June 12, 2026·Changelogs

Seven new pin formats for workflows, conversion, decisions, goals, and live team input — plus a full catalog table of every pin type in Pindown.

We shipped a batch of planning, strategy, and interactive pin types. Each one is a typed block you can drop on a Page, Pinboard, Pitch tab, or Canvas — and reuse across formats without rebuilding from scratch.

If you are new to pins, start with the pin formats overview. This changelog focuses on what is new and shows a live example of each.

Process Flow — swimlane management cockpit

Map how work moves across roles: swimlanes, active step, utilization, team roster, and bottleneck notes. Great for onboarding maps and ops reviews.

Example pin · Developer onboarding flow

Loading process flow...

Funnel — conversion with drop-off

Ordered stages top to bottom with conversion rates and the biggest leak highlighted. Use for signup funnels, sales pipelines, and onboarding conversion.

Example pin · Signup conversion funnel

Loading funnel...

Decision Matrix — weighted criteria

Score options against weighted criteria and surface a winner. Cleaner than a free-text comparison when you need a defensible pick.

Example pin · Backend framework decision

Loading decision matrix...

OKRs — objectives & key results

Track quarterly goals with progress bars, confidence, and on-track / at-risk / off-track status per key result.

Example pin · Q2 product OKRs

Loading OKRs...

Poll — live single-question voting

One question, multiple options, realtime vote bars. Everyone with access can vote; counts update live in Firebase.

Example pin · Feature priority poll

Loading poll...

Survey — multi-question forms

Short text, long text, single/multi choice, and scale questions. Owners and editors get a Results tab with aggregated breakdowns; respondents only see their own answers.

Example pin · Sprint retro survey

Loading survey...

Rating — multi-item star scores

Rate one prompt or several items (e.g. content, delivery, overall) with 1–5 stars and optional half stars. Owners and editors see per-item breakdowns in Results; optional live averages can be shared with everyone after they rate (like polls).

Example pin · Workshop feedback

How to try them

  1. Open any workspace and click Add pin.
  2. Pick Process Flow, Funnel, Decision Matrix, OKRs, Poll, Survey, or Rating.
  3. Or ask the app-wide agent on /home to build one from your notes — it can create all of these via CRUD tools (interactive pins store votes/responses separately in Firebase).

For the full mental model, read Thinking in pins.
